Worried about a loved one?

Warning signs:

  • Talking about wanting to kill themselves or die

  • Looking for a way to kill themselves, like searching online or buying a gun

  • Talking about feeling hopeless or having no reason to live

  • Talking about feeling trapped 

  • Talking about being a burden 

  • Increased use of alcohol or drugs

  • Acting anxious or agitated

  • Behaving recklessly

  • Sleeping too little or too much

  • Withdrawing or isolating themselves

  • Showing rage or talking about seeking revenge

  • Extreme mood swings

If you are worried about someone you love, encourage them to reach out for support.  Suggest making the call together.  Let them know you love them, and that you are there to help. If you are teen please let an adult in their life know that they are struggling. It's hard but it may save their life.
